The Universal Monsters movie series set the groundwork for modern horror and none are more iconic than Bela Lugosi's take on Dracula in the 1931 classic. Then, in 1935, Universal released its very first sequel to a Universal Monsters film, Bride Of Frankenstein. Taking place immediately after the events of Frankenstein, its story is rooted in a subplot of the original Mary Shelley novel, Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus.
