Vice Press X 2000 AD X Thought Bubble 2018

It is now just over a week until our favourite weekend of the year, Thought Bubble, and we thought it about time we shared with you some of the exciting new releases we have lined up from our 2000 AD range! This year you can find us in the "Ask For Mercy" Marquee on tables 1 to 3!

As well as the below, this Saturday we will also be announcing another print we will be releasing at Thought Bubble, a collaboration with our good friends at Bottleneck Gallery!

The first release is by Raid 71 and was printed by White Duck Editions! As well as the regular and variant edition, we will have a very special Thought Bubble exclusive version, limited to just 25, this will never be available via general sale on our website!

The Lawmaster by Raid71. Reg Edition of 100, 50x70cm. £40

The Lawmaster by Raid71. Variant Metallic Edition of 70, 50x70cm, £50

The Lawmaster by Raid71. Thought Bubble Variant of 25, 50x70cm, £60

We will also be releasing Matt Ferguson's cover to 2000 AD prog 2090,"Commuter Pain". Size 40x50cm. £20. Edition of 75.

Last year we released Jason Edmiston's Judge Dredd Eyes Without a Face and this year we bring you Judge Death! Limited to an edition of 75, 9x5inches. £10

One of the biggest talking points at last year's Zarjaz! gallery was Tom Newell's HUGE Judge Dredd plaque. As it seemed to be such a popular piece of art that not everyone could easily fit on their wall, we decided to work with Tom to release this limited edition pin! Priced £6. Limited to just 150.

With the exception of Raid 71's Thought Bubble Exclusive, remaining pieces from the show will go onsite at Vice Press on Tuesday the 25th of September at 6pm U.K. time.

As we gear up for both Thought Bubble in Leeds, U.K on September 22nd and 23rd and New York Comic Con in October with our friends at Bottleneck, we wanted to share details of an exciting project featuring art by our very own Matt Ferguson.

STUDIOCANAL will be releasing brand new 4k restorations of some of the master of ‘80s sci-fi, fantasy and horror, John Carpenter’s most iconic titles: THE FOG, THEY LIVE, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and PRINCE OF DARKNESS. All four brand new 4k restorations were done using the original camera negatives, with the colour grading approved for the new restorations and UHD versions by the films' Cinematographers: Gary B Kibbe and Dean Cundey.

Each title is now available to pre-order at various outlets, but Zavvi have collected everything together on one useful page found here.

This Autumn, audiences will also have the rare opportunity to experience the spectacle of Carpetner’s much-loved cult classics on the big screen looking better than ever.
THE FOG will receive its restoration premiere at The London Film Festival on October 15. From October 26, THEY LIVE and PRINCE OF DARKNESS will screen as a precursor to the big Halloween one-night special of THE FOG. Ticket booking information will
Be announced soon.
ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK will be screened at cinemas across the U.K for one day only on November 22nd.

Matt has created artwork for each film and audiences will be able to appreciate the new 4K restorations at home when all films, complete with brand new and “best of” extras material, are released across Home Entertainment platforms including UHD for the very first time. A very special, 4-disc Collectors Edition will be available of THE FOG, THEY LIVE, and ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, that will also include a copy of the film’s seminal soundtracks composed and performed by John Carpenter himself.
