We were so preoccupied with whether or not we could make our next poster, we forgot to ask ourselves if we should. Then, we asked ourselves and quickly decided yes, we 100% should and hopefully you agree!
We are thrilled to announce our JURASSIC PARK project with the original designer Chip Kidd to release a screenprinted / letterpress deluxe hybrid poster with a blind emboss and signature / numbering by Chip Kidd himself!
The JURASSIC PARK logo is one of the most recognizable images in not only film, but in CULTURE. It has been endlessly spoofed, homage, honored and stolen and become the mark of a franchise with over 5 films and counting. This image, specifically the Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton, was illustrated by the great designer Chip Kidd. Originally, it was the book cover and adapted by Universal to be the logo when the book was optioned and turned into a movie by Steven Spielberg. It went onto become the logo for the film and the actual logo for the park itself.
It’s fair to say that 2020 hasn’t been a vintage year so far and at Vice Press, we wanted to do our best to help out as many of the artists, printers and partners who have supported us these past few years.
Not only that, but we wanted to also reward you, our loyal customers, for supporting them too.
