Vice Press, under license from Rebellion, is proud to announce the next releases in our officially licensed line of limited edition 2000 AD art prints.
This next exciting new release has been lovingly produced by Vice Press co-founder Matt Ferguson and features 2000 AD’s lawman of the future, Judge Dredd.
Block War by Matt Ferguson will debut at our booth at the Manchester Film and Comic Con on May the 21st and 22nd and will be released online at 6pm BST on Wednesday the 25th of May exclusively at www.Vice-Press.com.
Here is what artist Matt Ferguson had to say about working on this piece:
"One of my favourite old school Judge Dredd stories has always been Block Mania, it's a story that really shows the day to day workings of a street level Judge and that was my jumping off point for this print. I wanted something graphic and exciting so I limited myself to just 2 colours and went from there. It's always cool to see Dredd on his Lawmaster and I thought why not have him jumping off an overpass to get down to some rioting citizens, as soon as I thought of that element the rest of the print fell in to place pretty quickly." - Matt Ferguson
About Matt Ferguson
Matt Ferguson is a Graphic Designer and Artist from Sheffield in the UK.
Matt is best known for working with Marvel Studios designing the artwork for Marvel’s Avengers Blu-Ray collection and promotional posters. He also regularly exhibits at galleries in the US including Bottleneck Gallery and is well known in the industry for his beautifully stylised creations for established Film and TV properties.
It's not an understatement to say that Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg's Cornetto Trilogy is one of our best loved movie series here at Vice Press. Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World's End each perfectly pay homage to different genre's while keeping a consistent tonal thread throughout. This is something that Doaly has captured with his new series of prints we will be releasing on January 17th.
The open edition regular prints will be available both singularly and as a set exclusively to Vice Press, while the limited edition variant will be available as a set from Vice Press and Bottleneck Gallery.
We will also be including a set of stickers with each order, while stocks last.
You can pick these prints up from 5pm GMT on Friday January 17th.
