Thought Bubble 2015 Releases: "Attack The Block" by Matt Taylor and "Strontium Dog" and "Judge Dredd" by Matt Ferguson
Vice Press are thrilled to announce are releases for this years Thought Bubble Sequential Arts Festival at the Royal Armouries, Leeds.
All three pieces will be released exclusively at the Vice Press booth in the New Dock Hall Foyer at Thought Bubble Sequential Art Festival in Leeds on Saturday the 14th of November and Sunday the 15th of November with remaining copies going online at Vice Press on Monday the 16th of November.
Vice Press, under license from Studiocanal, is proud to announce an officially licensed, limited edition screen print for Joe Cornish’s “Attack The Block”.
As one of our favourite artists, we were extremely excited to work with Matt Taylor on what we think is one of the best British movies of the past ten years.
Matt has done an amazing job utilising his unique colour palette and style to create this eye catching and dramatic composition.
Here’s a little from artist Matt Taylor on the piece:
"It was a real pleasure to work with Vice Press on this piece - there’s a lot of people doing illustrated alternative movie posters these days, but the fact they’re focusing on British properties made it for me. Attack the Block is a bit of an underlooked gem of a movie - that mix of comedy with genuinely scary sci-fi horror, and i wanted to do the movie justice for this release. John Boyega’s Moses is such a magnetic character, he had to be front and centre, standing down the aliens advancing on him, with the whole thing at a titled uneasy angle that hopefully calls to mind the seventies horror and sci-fi that the film is indebted to. I’m already planning my next thing for Vice Press nd it couldn’t be more different…"
Vice Press, under license from Rebellion, is also proud to announce the next releases in our officially licensed line of limited edition 2000 AD art prints.
These next exciting releases have been produced by Vice Press co-owner Matt Ferguson and feature the classic 2000 AD characters “Strontium Dog” and “Judge Dredd”.
